Born in the United States and raised in Japan, Judy Bouley’s global perspective on storytelling, language, and human behavior has shaped a remarkable career as an international casting director.

Judy’s casting assignments have taken her around the globe — from Mexico, Morocco, Bulgaria, India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Puerto Rico to Buenos Aires and throughout the United States.

🔍 What Makes This Workshop Different

This is a scene study intensive focused on ownership, emotional depth, and character truth.

Before the workshop, each actor will complete a 10-question character background breakdown designed to:

• Clarify backstory
• Define relationships
• Identify emotional stakes
• Establish personal history
• Ground the character in specificity

You will come in prepared — not guessing.

During the workshop, Judy will:

• Work one-on-one with each actor on their prepared scene
• Challenge and refine your character choices
• Push you toward authentic, specific storytelling
• Help you personalize the material so it becomes your own

The goal isn’t simply to “perform well.”

The goal is to make the work truthful, specific, and undeniable.

🟢 SESSION 1

Beginner & Intermediate Actors (Ages 8+)

Ideal for youth and adult actors building their foundation.

In this session, Judy will:

• Guide actors through scene adjustments in real time
• Strengthen character development and emotional connection
• Teach audition awareness and on-camera presence
• Help actors understand what casting directors truly look for

If you're newer to the craft or strengthening your technique, this session will give you structure, clarity, and direction.

Intermediate–Advanced Actors

(1+ Year Training OR Signed with an Agent/Manager)

For actors serious about working professionally.

Requirement: Minimum of one year of formal acting training or comparable experience.

In this advanced session, Judy will:

• Push deeper emotional choices and layered character work
• Refine listening and moment-to-moment truth
• Simulate a professional audition environment
• Provide direct, high-level industry feedback

This is where good actors sharpen their craft — and serious actors separate themselves.
